هدف البحث إلى وضع آليات مقترحة لتدويل التعليم الجامعي لتحقيق الميزة التنافسية، واستخدم البحث المنهج الوصفي، والذى اتضح استخدامه في التأصيل النظري لتدويل التعليم الجامعي، والتعرف على الميزة التنافسية في مرحلة التعليم الجامعي ومداخل تحقيقها، وتوصل البحث إلى مجموعة من النتائج حيث يتطلب تدويل التعليم الجامعي مواكبة الجامعة للتسارع التكنولوجي ومفاهيم النظام العالمي الجديد، والأستجابة لمتطلبات العولمة واحتياجات سوق العمل، ويتطلب تطبيق تدويل التعليم الجامعي إتقان مهارات الاتصال واللغة الأجنبية والمشاركة النشطة في الفعاليات الدولية والأقليمية، يتضمن تدويل التعليم الجامعي سلسلة من الأنشطة الدولية المتمثلة في مجالاته مثل الحراك الأكاديمى للطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس والباحثين، والمبادرات البحثية المشتركة والبرامج الأكاديمية الدولية، والراوبط والشراكات الدولية، وتمثل الدعاية والأعلام والمشاركة الفعالة في المسابقات العالمية، ونشر الأنشطة الطلابية على المواقع الألكترونية عنصرًا أساسي في جذب الجامعات الأجنبية الأخرى، وأن نجاح تدويل التعليم الجامعي يتطلب توفير المقومات الأساسية وفى مقتدمتها التنسيق المؤسسى والوطنى، وقناعة القيادات الأكاديمية العليا بالتدويل، فضلًا عن أعضاء هيئة التدريس والطلاب.
